AmericanChecked’s President & CEO Julie Hakman will be speaking at the 2017 National Creditors Bar Association (NARCA) Conference in Washington, DC. The conference runs October 11 – 14, 2017. Julie, who will be presenting with Christopher Onstott from Kronick, Moskovitz, Tiedemann & Girard, will be presenting on the topic, Navigating the Minefield – Effective Employee Screening.

 

This session will give up-to-date, current information relating to employee screening, safe screening practices and ongoing safeguards for employee retention. Attendees will gain insight to selecting a provider, employment screening statistics, explore best practices, and discover what’s new in 2017 and beyond. Tips, tools, techniques and useful resources will be shared to help navigate and ensure an effective screening program.

 

Julie Hakman is the past chair of the National Association of Professional Background Screeners and founded AmericanChecked in 2005.

An industry expert in screening, she regularly presents on topics specific to regulators, HR professionals and educators across the nation at some of the most well-known and prestigious events and conferences. Prior to starting AmericanChecked, Julie was President of World Gaming Association Network (WGN), Executive Vice President of US Mutual Association (USMA) a TISI Company and Corporate Vice President of US Investigations Services/Total Info Services Inc. (USIS) a TISI Company. She has been in the industry for 25+ years. Julie is a licensed private investigator in the state of Nevada and has served as a consultant to the Casino Management Association and the International Masters of Gaming Law.
