The use of those web pages, and the information downloadable to and from those pages, are governed by a written agreement between AmericanChecked and its clients. AmericanChecked collects only information that the user voluntarily shares.
Consumer Privacy
AmericanChecked takes the privacy of consumers very seriously. AmericanChecked abides by the Fair Credit Reporting Act and other state, local and federal laws. Clients must be certified by AmericanChecked before being allowed to order reports.
The information provided to our clients is for employment, volunteer, or licensing purposes as outlined by the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Our clients are contractually required to obtain a signed release and disclosure form from a consumer before ordering screening reports on any individual; therefore, no information is ever provided on anyone without their knowledge.
Consumers may call AmericanChecked, Inc., at 800.975.9876 or write to AmericanChecked, Inc., 4870 South Lewis, Ste.120, Tulsa, OK 74105 to request a copy of their information or to file a dispute regarding information that they feel was reported incorrectly. They will be required to provide proper identification before information is provided to them.
Children Under Age 18
AmericanChecked does not offer services to children under the age of 18, and this web site is not directed to children under the age of 18. AmericanChecked does not knowingly collect information about children under the age of 13.
Collection of Personal Information
Personal information such as name, address, phone number, email is private and confidential. We do not sell or provide company or personal information to third parties. We use customer information to the extent needed to conduct business, including but not limited to: setting up your account, delivering our service, enhancing the operation of our site and administering our systems.
Security
As a Consumer Reporting Agency (CRA), we are actively engaged in ensuring our systems and data are secure. Several layers of firewalls, encrypted file systems and extensive loggings provide robust protection.
Our emphasis on privacy and security is reflected in the way we operate. All employees and contractors must pass a thorough background check and security training is a key element of new employee orientation. All waste paper documents are shredded onsite and state-of-the-art security equipment monitors and controls the entrance to our premises.
